Hannah Jane Kile is a folk singer, multi-instrumentalist, & composer who often draws comparisons to her heroes, Bonnie Raitt, Norah Jones, & Sara Bareilles. She is a favorite opener among national acts some of which include Grammy winning Patty Griffin, Ingrid Michelson, blues legend Carolyn Wonderland, & jazz heroes Sammy Miller & The Congregation. Hannah Jane Kile released two new self composed albums this summer, “Broken Girl’s Anthem” & “They Almost Got Away – Vol. 1.”
Margaret Wehr is a multi-instrumentalist, session musician, and songwriter based here in Portland. Wehr’s solo project is a unique fusion of folk instrumentation and indie electro pop, often referred to as “folktronic”. With intricately layered vocals, rhythmic acoustic guitar, and violin played through looper/effects pedals, she creates rippling soundscapes to accentuate her lyrical storytelling and memorably ethereal vocals. In addition to performing solo as Margaret Wehr (previously Maggie Gibson), Wehr performs and tours with Portland bands Y La Bamba (synth and vocals), Moorea Masa & the Mood (vocals), and Olivia Awbrey (violin & vocals).
